  My mother in law spent about 3 weeks here. This place had some good qualities and bad. The therapy department (especially the speech therapists) were amazing and listened to every concern we had and listened to there patient very well. They exceeded our expectations. The nursing staff however, was horrible. I work in the medical field, and I was dumbfounded at how they treat their patients and how they handle concerns and complaints. They also seemed very uneducated when trying to explain patient related conditions. One charge nurse tried to explain to me what a CAUTI was by telling me it was a blood infection. ( CAUTI actually stands for Catheter Associated Urinary Tract Infection- not blood infection). Nothing was done to ensure my mother in law was being cared for appropriately. And nothing was done about any complaint we had about staff. They merely brushed our complaints off. Again, being from the medical field, this is not proper procedure for complaints. Most definitely do not recommend this establishment. Only gave it 2 stars because the therapy department wa excellent and a few nursing staff employees were awesome, but overall, the nursing staff was horrible. By the way, a CAUTI can eventually turn into a blood infection (also known as sepsis) if untreated, but is ultimately not a blood infection. Educate your nursing staff so that they are not misinforming their patients and family members
